Recently I saw an exhibition on the movements in art, and I also had a guided tour. There wasn't much real motion in it, only more pictures and sculptures.

However, I learned that for a long time sculpturers were not supposed to show motion in their work. Apparently this had to do with the imposing weight of marble. How could it move?

While hearing this, I got the idea for Tarzan, a fountain that 'walks'.

Of course, after this, I had to make Jane and the chimpanzee.
So here is my Jungle Trio:

At some stage I played with little rotors: water comes into a tube from above and leaves through thin tubes below. This produces jets which make the thing turn round. Later I used the same idea to spray water over the bottoms in "Birds". When making "i hegnet", one pair was left over. Combining the two pieces produced Petit Papillon!

When one of my fountains fell over and broke, I didn't feel the urge to rebuild it.

In stead of, I used the guts and the top for this baby. She is a trial run before the final flower version.
